Despite assumptions, Cardi B has enjoyed more wins following her incident at New York Fashion Week. While some are on the Billboard charts, others are in the form of lucrative deals with the biggest names in fashion.
While in Italy for Milian Fashion Week, Cardi addressed the notion that her star has faded since her scuffle with Nicki Minaj. “After the altercation that happened at Fashion Week, there are a lot of people saying ‘Cardi B is canceled,’ but that’s not true,” she said during an Instagram live session Monday (Sept. 24). “I’ve actually gotten a lot of offers from a lot of fashion people that you all will slowly but surely, slowly but surely see.”
She also addressed rumors that high profile celebrities unfollowed her on social media after the incident. “That’s not even true. Those celebrities weren’t even following me. Why can’t y’all just stop making rumors and trying to make me look like I’m “over” and everything? When my time is “over,” you’ll see when my time is over,” she added.
TMZ also reports designers didn’t rescind their invites following the incident. She recently attended a Dolce & Gabbana show as well as a Philipp Plein show in support of her sister Hennesy Carolina who walked on the runway. Nicki Minaj arrived in Milan just a few days before Cardi and has enjoyed her time at the Versace show and then some.
