Liverpool are keeping tabs on LOSC Lille defender Leny Yoro and might be making a move to acquire him in the summer as per RMC Sport. The Premier League side are looking to add quality and depth to their defensive unit to fight better for trophies next season.
After spending a year at Alfortville, Leny Yoro moved to Lille with his family and joined their academy. His impressive performances at the youth level earned him a first-team call-up in 2022. Since then, he has taken huge strides in his footballing career.

Yoro has emerged as a valuable player for the side and features regularly on the team sheet. He has featured in 44 games and netted three goals. He is averaging 1.1 tackles, 1.1 interceptions, and 3 clearances per game (stats via whoscored).
The French defender stays extremely calm and composed under pressure. He has got good ability on the ball and can build attacks on his own. With great acceleration and intelligent reading of the game, he has immense potential. However, the youngster needs to work on his physicality.
A good addition for Liverpool
Liverpool are desperate to bolster their defensive section ahead of next season. Joel Matip has left the club as a free agent, and Ibrahima Konate and Joe Gomez are unreliable due to their historic injury woes. Virgil van Dijk is also on the wrong side of 30.
Hence, the pursuit of Leny Yoro could be a good move for the Reds as the player will add depth and value to the side. Being 18 years old, he has a lot of room to improve and evolve himself. With good coaching, he can serve the club in the long run.
