Former Manchester United goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczak has expressed his feelings about the ongoing comparisons between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
Kuszczak, who was on the same pitch as Ronaldo during the Portuguese’s time at Old Trafford, highlighted the lack of respect he felt the audience had for Ronaldo.
Speaking to OLBG, Kuszczak said: “I think Cristiano Ronaldo was disrespected , there was a lot of talk about who was better between him and Lionel Messi. I had the opportunity to train and play. With him for several years, he has proven everything in football wherever he is.”
Messi and Ronaldo are considered by many to be two of the best players in football history. This duo has won the Golden Ball 13 times. They used to have an equal number of golden balls at 5, but then M10 surpassed them with 8 titles, a record that is hard to break.
Both are currently away from top club football, but at the end of 2022 Messi will still win the highest title, the World Cup. This summer Ronaldo will fight for EURO with Portugal.
