Ronaldo received a very heavy punishment at Al Nassr after the Saudi Arabian Football Federation took action

Cristiano Ronaldo was suspended for 2 matches for elbowing an Al-Hilal player in the Saudi Super Cup loss.

According to Asharq Al-Awsat, the Portuguese player will be suspended for 2 matches for violent behavior on the field during Al Nassr’s Saudi Super Cup semi-final against Al Hilal. In the confrontation, the 39-year-old striker elbowed Ali Ali-Bulaihi, causing him to be disqualified by the referee.

The Disciplinary and Ethics Committee of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation sat with Ronaldo to question him about the incident. CR7 is said to have justified his actions by claiming that he should not have been sent off in the first place.

After the meeting, the committee has now decided to suspend the player for two matches, thereby causing Ronaldo to miss Al Nassr’s important matches in the Saudi Pro League against Al Feiha on April 19 and Al Khaleej on April 28. 4.Al Nassr have failed to meet expectations in the current season as they were eliminated from the AFC Champions League, Saudi Super Cup and are currently 12 points behind leaders Al Hilal.

The former Manchester United, Juventus, Sporting and Real Madrid star could return to action for his club in the King Cup of Champions semi-finals when they take on Al Khaleef on May 1.
