While the fan was the first to notice the coincidence, others were quick to jump onto the bandwagon and claimed she could be onto something.

Another person said: ‘SHUT UP NO WAY.’

A third wrote: ‘This woman omg.’

One other penned: ‘BRB SCREAMING INTO MY PILLOW’, while another admitted that the similarity was ‘insane’.

The song talks about a ‘lavender haze’ which is the state of being deeply in love with someone where you are in the ‘honeymoon phase’, commonly used in the 1950s.

Previously discussing the topic of the song, Taylor said: ‘I guess, theoretically when you’re in the lavender haze, you’ll do anything to stay there and not let people bring you down off of that cloud.’

It is believed that the song was penned with Taylor’s ex Joe in mind.

Another song which fans believe offers clues about her break-up is Champagne Problems, which tells the story of a woman who lets a man go because she isn’t ready to marry.

Fans have insisted they have worked out the reason behind the singer’s split from her boyfriend Joe by looking at clues from her Eras tour.

It was claimed over the weekend that Taylor and Joe have gone their separate ways after six years together, according to a source close to the couple.

Before the news broke, the singer, 33, who is known for dropping ‘Easter eggs’ in her songs, switched up her set list this week to include her song Champagne Problems.

The track depicts the story of two lovers dealing with a failed proposal, though the hopeful groom has already told members of is family who are opening bottles of champagne in a preemptive celebration.

Taylor famously penned the track with Joe, 32, who has co-written some of the pop stars songs including Sweet Nothing and Betty under the alias, William Bowery.

During one of her gigs last week, Taylor added the song to her set list as a last minute change and was seen looking emotional as she performed it.

Fans are now speculating that the song they wrote together may have been about their own relationship and could hint at the reason for their split.

The couple’s six-year relationship was marked by countless rumors they had gotten engaged – fueled by the the appearance of a large ring on her finger in the 2020 documentary Miss Americana – and that they’d even been secretly married.

One verse of the song reads: ‘She would’ve made such a lovely bride, What a shame she’s f**ked in the head, ” they said, But you’ll find the real thing instead, She’ll patch up your tapestry that I shred’.

Commenting on the lyrics, one fan queried: ‘Will Joe and Taylor break up because Joe really wanted to Marry her and Taylor didn’t, that’s why she cried in champagne problems at the time of “I never was ready so I watch you go”.

Taylor’s song Midnight Rain is about leaving behind the comfort of a healthy relationship to avoid settling.

Another person made the same assumption and wrote: ‘What if both Champagne Problems and Midnight Rain is actually about Joe Alwyn [crying face emoji] just no…[broken heart emoji].’

Taylor’s tears also may have been because Joe has previously noted that Champagne Problems is his favourite song of hers.
