The 2023/2024 season is not complete for Liverpool. The Kop failed in three playgrounds: FA Cup, Europa League and Premier League. The Anfield team needs a drastic change this summer. Besides parting ways with Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool must soon make decisions about the future of several stars.

Whether to sell or keep becomes the question for new Sports Director Richard Hughes and coach Arne Slot. Liverpool needs to quickly finalize the future of the names below.

1.Mohamed Salah

Salah is likely to leave Liverpool.

Salah has become Liverpool’s talisman over the past few years. One of the best stars of The Kop in the Jurgen Klopp era. However, the scenario of Salah leaving Anfield is closer than ever.

The Egyptian striker will turn 32 next June. This season, Salah has slowed down somewhat, showing signs of age. The contract between him and Liverpool has one year left.

The Kop will likely push Salah away to avoid losing him completely. The former AS Roma star promises to help Liverpool earn a large amount of money in the transfer market.

2. Darwin Nunez

Recently, Nunez’s future has become a hot topic. Some sources confirm that the Uruguayan striker is likely to leave Liverpool. This season, the former Benfica star showed clear progress.

Nunez squandered many opportunities.

Besides the plus points, Nunez still has limitations in his playing style. The 24-year-old striker often squanders good opportunities in front of the opponent’s goal.

After all, Nunez is still considered the future of Liverpool’s attack. The Anfield team needs to find a way to retain Nunez instead of pushing him away. On the other hand, Nunez deserves more opportunities and time to prove his ability at Anfield.

3. Virgil van Dijk

Van Dijk is the mainstay of the defense.

Liverpool’s defense system played unstable at the end of the season. However, that does not reduce Van Dijk’s value. The Dutch star has had an impressive transformation this season, ranking first in many important indicators: number of tackles, duels, ball recoveries…..

Liverpool needs Van Dijk’s presence in the new season. The 32-year-old midfielder promises to play an important role in the Slot era, providing quality to The Kop’s defense.

4. Trent Alexander-Arnold

Number 66 of Liverpool.

Similar to Salah and Van Dijk, Alexander-Arnold has one year left on his contract with Liverpool. This season, injury prevented the English defender from contributing much to The Kop. However, Alexander-Arnold is still very useful to the Anfield team.

Alexander-Arnold’s talent, diversity in playing style, precise crosses, and creating ability become invaluable weapons. ” Liverpool must do everything to convince Trent to sign a new contract, ” Daniel Sturridge told Sky Sports.

5. Kevin Kelleher

Goalkeeper Kelleher.

Kelleher is capable of starting for many European teams. This season, the Irish goalkeeper played excellently when replacing Alisson Becker. Kelleher is too good to sit on the bench. Liverpool wants to keep the 25-year-old star, but leaving will help Kelleher’s career more.

Liverpool will earn a significant amount of money if they sell Kelleher. According to talkSPORT, Kelleher is in the sights of two football teams, Celtic and Nottingham Forest.
